David J. Sturks

David J. Sturks, age 75, a long time resident of Stoneham, died April 29, 2014.  Born in Quincy, MA; he was the son of the late Otis S. and Dorothy H. (Boisclair) Sturks.  David was raised in North Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1957.  He later graduated from Burdett Business College.
For over twenty years, David was employed as an accountant at Shaumut Bank in the stocks and bonds department.
In his younger years, David enjoyed square dancing and was a caller.  His hobbies included collecting model trains and classic cars.  He was a member of the National Model Railroad Association and the Train Collectors Association.  He entered competitions with his vintage cars.
He is survived by his cousins, Charlotte Mee of Acton, ME, Rita Mee of Wassaic, NY, Charles Boisclair of Auburn, AL, Ann Heap and Pat Reuss both of Maryland.
Visitation and funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6th at 4 P.M. with Rev. Meredith Allen officiating.  Visitation prior to the service, 2-4 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 715 ALbany St., Suite C-329, Boston, MA 02118.
