Annina Rose Faraci (Brienzo), “Nina”, 89, of Middleton formerly of Stoneham, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10, 2014. She was the devoted wife of the late Rocco Louis Faraci.
Born and raised in Lynn, MA; she was the daughter of the late James and Maria (Del Aquilla) Brienzo. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School.
Nina worked as a payroll accountant for Piccirillo & Singer and later as a cost accountant for Maynard Moore in Stoneham. But her most important job was her role as homemaker, wife and mother. She learned to be a fantastic cook, an immaculate housekeeper and a wonderful mother who was cherished by her family. She was a proud, tiny lady, feisty and full of fun who proclaimed she was only “59 & holding”.
Nina and her husband raised their family in Stoneham and resided there nearly twenty years. They truly enjoyed life; in their retirement, they wintered in Florida and summered at Lake Winnipesaukee. They were great partners on the dance floor, especially dancing the “jitterbug”. They also enjoyed travelling throughout the U.S., Europe and Malaysia.
She was the beloved mother of Nina Faraci of N. Andover, Linda Chase & her husband Geary of Exeter, NH and Charles Faraci of Dennisport. She is also survived by her grandson Maxwell Chase of Eliot, ME; two brothers, Rocky Brienzo & his wife Margie of Plymouth and Mike Brienzo & his wife Sally of Boulder, CO and her sister Mary D’Arcangelo & her husband Mike of Swampscott.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, December 15th at 10 A.M. at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, followed by burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, please honor Annina by making a donation to St. Jude Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN38101-9908. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home in Stoneham.
