Ruth Edna Buckley

Ruth E. Buckley, age 87, formerly of Burlington, passed away December 10, 2014, following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of the late John E. Buckley. Born in Malden, MA and raised in Stoneham; she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Sheppard) Quinn.
Following high school, Ruth attended business school and worked for John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. She was later employed as a school bus driver by the towns of Burlington, Woburn and Winchester.
Ruth enjoyed travelling with her husband. They visited nearly all the lighthouses along the East Coast; she could identify them all and she cherished her collection of lighthouse figurines. Ruth was an excellent photographer.
She leaves her two sons, Lawrence Buckley and his wife Maureen of Stoneham and Timothy Buckley and his wife Lisa of Weymouth. She is also survived by four grandchildren, John, Ryan, Eric and Lisa.
Family and friends are welcome to the Gathering and Prayer Service on Saturday starting at 10 A.M. at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, followed by burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home, 4-8 P.M.
