Gary Bruce Eastman

February 3, 1950 — December 14, 2014

Gary Bruce Eastman, age 64, of Stoneham, died at home December 14, 2014, following a lengthy illness. He was the cherished husband of 38 years to Ann (Sullivan) Eastman. Born and raised in Somerville, MA; he was the son of Phyllis Eastman of Somerville and the late Frank A. Eastman.
Gary was a graduate of Somerville High School in the class of 1968. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam, earning the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. During the Gulf War, he served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard earning the Air National Guard Medal. Gary was a heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineer, most recently for National Grid.
Gary was a Master Mason and associated with the Belmont, Stoneham and Somerville Masonic Lodges. He was member of the National Association of Watches and Clock Collectors.
He had resided in Stoneham for the past 37 years, and often could be seen in the yard working on his treasured vintage cars. He also enjoyed his motorcycle and frequently rode with the “old timers” throughout New England.
He was the father of David Eastman and his wife Michelle of Burlington and Michael Eastman of Stoneham. He is also survived by his brother Glen Eastman of Somerville, his two grandchildren Keira and Collin, brothers-in-law, Mark Sullivan and Al Amodeo, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gregory Eastman and Thayne Eastman Conley.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service on Friday, Dec. 19th at 11 A.M. at the First Congregational Church, 322 Main St., Woburn. Visitation will be prior to the service staring at 10 A.M. Burial with military honors will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Salvation Army, 147 Berkeley St., Boston, MA 02116, the First Congregational Church of Woburn Building Fund or Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997.
