Joan --- Breen

Joan E. Breen, age 82, formerly of Boston, died December 13, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Breen was born and raised in Sunapee, New Hampshire and a graduate of West Lebanon High School. After serving in the US Marine Corps, she moved to Boston. She met and married John Breen of Dorchester with whom she had a son, Andrew Clifford Breen, both of whom predeceased her. Mrs. Breen worked for many years at various F.W. Woolworth Store locations in the Boston area. She was especially fond of her years at the Downtown Crossing location. She had a warm place in her heart for animals, especially her dog Princess that she adopted and cared for with her family for many years. She was a kind and loving grandmother to Lily Martatina Torres Breen and John Andrew Breen of Winchester. She was the sister of Barbara (Schultz) Falzarano of Norwich, VT, Judith Henderson and Karen Henderson both of Eufaula, AL, Clifford Henderson & his wife Sue of West Lebanon, NH and the late Richard Henderson. Also survived by her daughter-in-law, Ellyn Torres of Winchester, and many nieces and nephews. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Boston. Services will be private.
