Patricia J. Storella, age 46, of Stoneham formerly of Revere, passed away April 29, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the cherished wife of Thomas M. Storella. Born in Cambridge, MA, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Helen (Ritz) Puppo of Revere.
Patricia was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School in the class of 1986. After earning her Associates Degree at North Shore Community College, she worked at the Goodwin and Proctor law firm in Boston as a facilities manager.
Trish and her family have lived in Stoneham for the past eight years. Trish is fondly remembered in the Stoneham community as an organizer and participant in the Stoneham Relay for Life that has raised over $40,000, for the American Cancer Society over the past three years. She started and ran the school program Relay at Recess within the Stoneham schools where children learn about good exercise, healthy eating and skin cancer; she knew the value of starting early to fight cancer. Trish was also a very active volunteer with many other American Cancer Society Programs, including driving cancer patients to their doctor appointments, mentoring other women diagnosed with breast cancer and meeting with cancer patients at Hallmark Health to provide them with resources. She was the recipient of the American Cancer Volunteer Values Award New England Division in 2014.
She was a caring and loving mother to her son, Daniel T. Storella. In addition to her parents, husband and son, Patricia is survived by her brother Stephen Puppo and his wife Marisa and nephews, Justin and Jeremy of Chelsea.
Funeral services will be held from the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Monday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Sunday, 4-8 P.M.
