Karen Phyllis Thoresen

Karen P. Thoresen, age 65, of Hamilton, formerly of Malden, died November 30, 2015, at the Boston Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Malden, MA; she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Phyllis A. (Fredrickson) Thoresen.
Karen was a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1968. While working for US Air as a flight attendant, she graduated from both Boston University and Lesley College Graduate School. She was a psychotherapist in private practice in Andover and Hamilton. Karen was also a real estate agent in the Hamilton area. She was an active and loyal member of the choir at the Unity on the River Church in Amesbury.
Survived by her daughters, Alexa McNally and Olivia McNally of Hamilton. She was the sister of Kristine Thoresen of Cummaquid, Jewel Lawrence & her husband John and John Bradstreet of Medford and the late Walter Thoresen and loving aunt of Ashley Rittershaus of Revere, Nicole Smith of Stoneham and Brett Lawrence of Hilton Head, SC. She also leaves a grandnephew Shane Smith and so many wonderful, dedicated, loving friends.
