Eleanor Rita Moscato

Eleanor Rita Moscato, “Helen”, a long time resident of Medford, passed away March 18, 2016, at age 96, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph Moscato. Born in East Boston and raised in the North End, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Emanuella (Vecchia) Grieco.
Helen had been a resident of Medford for over 65 years. She was a devout communicant of St. Francis Church and member of the St. Francis Mother’s Club. For many years she was employed as a production worker at Gillette in South Boston.
Helen will be remembered for her delightful sense of humor and her joy in entertaining her family and friends. She was also known to have kept a spotless home.
She was the mother of Ronald Moscato and his wife Anne of Quincy and Marlene Johansen of Stoneham. She was the grandmother of Kim Morris of Arizona, Angelina Moscato of Quincy and Maria Moscato of Randolph; great grandmother of Christina Andrade, Elena Andrade and Joey Andrade all of Arizona and Frank DiMeo of Quincy and she leaves her dear friend and caregiver Mary Jaynes.
Funeral from the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Wednesday, March 23rd at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at St. Francis Church, 441 Fellsway W., Medford at 10 A.M. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hallmark Visiting Nurse and Hospice, 178 Savin St., Suite 300, Malden, MA 02148.
