Gordon Walter Doucette

July 3, 1934 — March 21, 2016

Gordon Walter Doucette, “Flash”, 81, of Stoneham, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully at home March 21, 2016. He was the husband of the late Marianne (Erickson) Doucette.
Born in Woburn and raised in the family home of three generations, he was the son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Paulsen) Doucette. Flash was a graduate of Woburn High School. He was an electronics engineer and employed for many years Sanders Associates and Lockheed Martin in Nashua, NH.
Flash was an outdoorsman who loved to be in the woods and on the water.
He enjoyed fishing during the summer on his boat “The Tin Can” and in the winter, he liked to go icefishing on Long Pond. He was an excellent marksman and member of the Massachusetts Rifle Association. Flash enjoyed vacationing each summer with his family at the family cottage in Sanbornville, NH. He was the family photographer.
He was the cherished father of Patricia McMahon of Big Flats, NY, Linda Guertin of Stoughton, Sandra Murray of Kingston, Walter Doucette of Woburn, Ronald Doucette of Stoneham and the late Eric Doucette. He was the brother of Janet Bianculli of Reading and Norman Doucette of Pinellas Pines, FL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. in Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham followed by burial in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn with military honors. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home, Friday, 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation; 383 Main Ave., 5th FL; Norwalk, CT 06851.
