William Farmer Gullette Jr., age 89, a long time resident of Stoneham, died September 29, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Eleanor (Kolesnik) Gullette. Born in Cambridge, MA; he was the son of the late William F. and Blanche (Cresto) Gullette.
Bill served in the Navy during WWII. He was a realtor and was a partner in GR Century 21 in Stoneham.
Bill was a 60+year member of the Major General Henry Knox Grand Lodge of Boston and the Joseph Warren-Soley Lodge in Lincoln. He had also been involved with the Quannipowitt Players in Reading. Bill and Eleanor volunteered each year at the WGBH Auction and could be viewed on Channel 2 taking our pledges. He was a loyal member and very active at the Stoneham Congregational Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He and Eleanor loved to travel and vacationed throughout the world.
He was the cherished father of Jason Gullette and his wife Marsha Tuffli of Denver, CO and Renee Flynn and her husband Timothy of Stoneham.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob and Molly Flynn and brother-in-law, Stephen Kolesnik of Nashua, NH.
Funeral services including a Masonic Service will be held Thursday, October 6th at 10 A.M. in the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Stoneham, followed by burial with military honors in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the American Heart Association. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home of Stoneham.
