Enid M. Weil, age 77, loving companion of Thomas Plaut, proud mother of Leslie Rouffe and Laura Roos, loving grandmother of Jeremy and Brad Roos.
An only child, she developed a passionate interest in reading, literature and the arts. She received her bechelor of arts from UCLA, a Masters degree in literature from University of California-Berkley and a Masters of Social Work from Boston University. Committed to human services, she started her career in education, specifically teaching special needs students and moved on to social work in her thirties. A dear favorite of her patients, she continued to practice social work until she reached age 70. She was an intelllectual who enjoyed taking classes in her senior years. A loving mother and grandmother, it brought her joy to cook comfort foods and read to her grandchildren. She will be remembered for, among other things, her steadfast belief in democratic causes and her esthetic sense.
