Robert M. Karakhanian

U.S. Veteran Robert “Bob” M. Karakhanian, age 57, passed away on Sunday August 27, 2017 at the Winchester Hospital from diabetes and cancer. He was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts until he married and moved to Woburn in 1984.
He received his GED and served in the United States Army in Korea. Robert was a dedicated husband and father, who loved spending quality time with his family and dogs. He loved movies, computer games, Korean food and spending time down the Cape with his wife. He loved to make people laugh and smile. He was also a handyman and was able to fix many things, including computers, until he was forced to stop due to his illness. He will be greatly missed. Robert was the beloved husband of Lauren A. (Long) Karakhanian of 36 years. The dear father of Robert Jason Karakhanian, Sarah A. Karakhanian and Shauna F. (Karakhanian) Regan and her husband Johnathan M. Regan. He was also a loving grandfather of Leila Ann Regan and Johnathan James Regan.
He is survived by his sisters Regina Brennick, Gloria (Karakhanian) Pizzuto, Elizabeth Karakhanian, Honorine (Karakhanian) Messersmith and his brother Gerald Karakhanian and numerous nieces and nephews, their families, good friends and his dogs, Kelsey, Buster and Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, George R. Karakhanian and Virginia Marie (Costa) Karakhanian, his twin brother, George Karakhanian and sister, Virginia Karakhanian.
A time of gathering will be held on August 31, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common Street, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Family and friends are welcome to attend. However, Please REFRAIN from wearing any scented products, including but not limited to colognes, lotions, after-shave lotions, perfumes, deodorants, body/face lotions, hair sprays, scented soap, laundry detergents or fabric softeners/sheets, or similar products.
