Moussa, Mary Sarkis, 89, entered into eternal rest peacefully Friday Sept. 8, 2017. She is survived by three children: Sophie Assad of Woburn, Albert Moussa and his wife Martha of Winchester, Dr. Gloria-Moussa Gabour and her husband Adam of Lexington; four granddaughters, Abir Zahra and her husband Amgad Azmi of Cairo, Nada Zahra and her husband Hani Nagah of Cairo, and Marie and Monica Gabour of Lexington; five great grandchildren, Nadine and Celine Azmi of Cairo and Karim, Rita and Rami Nagah of Cairo; two brothers: Dr. Francois Abboud and his wife Doris of Iowa City, IA and Louis Abboud and his wife Barbara of Wadsworth IL, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many family members in Canada, Lebanon, Greece and Brazil. Mary was born in Cairo, Egypt. She started her career as a teacher in the Sainte Therese school where she became the principle. In 1983, she immigrated to the US and embraced her new life here. She was a French teacher for many years and upon retirement she volunteered for the churches of Saint Eulalia and Saint Mary, both of Winchester and was a reader at Saint Athanasius Church in Arlington. Visiting hours are from 6 to 8pm on Sunday September 10th at Anderson- Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St, Stoneham. The funeral mass is Monday September 11th at 11:30am at Saint Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St, Winchester MA. Relatives and Friends are invited.
