Mary Ann "Marie" Bucchio

Mary Ann Bucchio, "Marie ", age 87, of Revere, formerly of Wakefield and Reading, passed away after a lengthy illness on October 27, 2017. She was the wife of the late Alexander Bucchio, Jr. with whom she had shared forty years of marriage.
Born in Boston, MA and raised in East Boston she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Santa (Siracusa) Matanza.
Mrs. Bucchio was a former member and Grand Deputy of the Ladies Sons of Italy in Woburn, past President of the Air Force Sergeant's Club, Hanscom Field, Bedford and member and past President of the Sons of Italy in Winthrop.
She was the mother of Eleanor Moccia, Alexandra Rivers and her husband Edward all of N. Reading, Kurt Bucchio and his wife Rosa of Pelham, NH, Mark Bucchio of Lowell and the late Alexander Bucchio III and Naomi Bucchio and sister of Mark John Matanza of Florida. She also leaves eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services from the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Tuesday at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Church, Stoneham at 10 A.M. and burial in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation at the funeral home Monday, 4-8 P.M. Those desiring may make a gift of remembrance to the Alzheimer's Association.
