Thomas Patterson Gillespie, Sr.

Thomas Patterson Gillespie, Sr. passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 26, 2017 at the age of 66. He was born in Boston and lived in Malden MA all his life. He was a Marine from the Vietnam era and former member of Melrose VFW and Melrose Elks organization.
Raised by his step-mother Catherine Dineen of Malden, MA. His mother was Irene Bergen and his father was John Gillespie.
Survived by his children: Thomas P Gillespie, Jr. and his wife Heather, Tracy Lyn Smith and her husband Patrick. Thomas was predeceased by his Daughter Alicia Carol Gillespie, daughter of former spouse Carol Fiore.
Also survived by many grandchildren: Sean T Gillespie, Thomas G Gillespie, Gianna R Gillespie, Nora O Smith, and Tobyn G Smith. Thomas’ siblings: Patricia DeVita and Mike McBride of Malden, Robert Griffin and Patricia of Peabody and William Fuller of North Carolina, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was the former spouse of Mary Laughton and her current husband Robert Laughton Jr.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, November 6th, from 5-7PM at the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St. Stoneham. Family and friends invited.
