Albert H. Savage

Albert H. Savage, of Stoneham, passed away on October 22, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He was 90 years of age.

Born in Stoneham on January 8 ^th 1932, he was one of four children, to the late Leighton and Margaret (Stratchen) Savage.  He was raised and educated in Melrose, MA.  Following High School, Albert served in the Korean War. He was also a longtime member of the VFW of Melrose.

Albert worked as a heavy hauler truck driver for GH Harnum for over 25 years.  After retiring, Al worked at the First Congregational Church in Stoneham as a sexton.  His favorite past time was tending to his vegetable garden and spending time at his cottage in Alton, NH.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Mitchell) Savage.  They were happily married for 58 years.  He was the father of Debora M. (Savage) Baker, Kimberly A. Savage, Stephen A. Savage, the late Cheryl L. Savage and the late Mark L. Savage; Grandfather of Theresa, Paul and Damon and Great Grandfather of Alexis, Cameron and Ava. He was the brother of the late Charles Savage, John Savage and Mary (Savage) Duggan.

Visiting hours will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday October 26, 2022, at Anderson Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common Street, Stoneham, MA.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday October 27, 2022, at The First Congregation Church Stoneham, 1 Church Street, Stoneham, MA.  Internment is at Lindenwood Cemetery, Montvale Ave, Stoneham, MA.
