Alexander Richard Hutton, age 27, of Boxborough passed away unexpectedly January 20, 2022, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with mental illness.
He was born in Concord, Massachusetts on March 20,1994. He was a graduate of Acton Boxborough Regional High School and the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Alex worked as a tax analyst at BJ’s wholesale and most recently at Boston Properties.
Alex was known and beloved by others for his charm, generosity and loving nature. Besides loving his family and friends he enjoyed being outdoors and hiking. Alex had a passion for all things Italian and that passion often revealed itself in food. He loved creating gourmet meals and sharing them with family and friends. There was no such thing as too much olive oil or cheese and he believed no price was too high to pay for a good pound of Prosciutto. People were oftentimes in awe, amazed, and inspired by his creations.
Alex is survived by his loving family, his parents, Mark and Julia of Boxborough, MA, his brother Evan and his wife Andrea Boerding of Chicago, IL, his paternal grandparents James and Joan Elwood of Tyngsborough, MA and his maternal grandmother Jane Membrino of Lee, MA. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather George Membrino. He also leaves behind many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends along with his favorite dog and “little brother”, Enzo.
Alex will forever be remembered for his courage and tenacity. His kind, gentle and generous spirit, as well as his infectious smile and laugh will live in the hearts of many. To know Alex was to love Alex and everybody loved Alex.
A funeral mass and celebration of his life will be held at St. Elizabeths of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street Acton MA on Monday, January 31st at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Eliot Community Human Services who worked tirelessly to support Alex and his family:
