Bruce William Pemberton

Pemberton, Bruce William, age 71, Weston, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Newton, July 18, 2018. Son of Kathryn Weiss Dickman and George M. Pemberton.  Father of Bennett and Andrew Pemberton of Newton. Brother of Gary Pemberton of Acton and George Pemberton of Raleigh, North Carolina. Beloved companion of Jan Louise Plager. Bruce was a true gentleman, friend, artist, musician and lover of life. Bruce was an advocate for social justice and devoted his career to providing affordable housing and social work services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Memorial tributes may be made to Darrow School, 110 Darrow Road, New Lebanon, NY 12125 or Tippett Home, 920 South Street, Needham, MA 02492.  A memorial has been held.
