Catherine Helen Nigro

Catherine "Kay" Helen Nigro (Calareso), 88, of Tewksbury, formerly of Reading, Stoneham and Danvers died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus.

Born on July 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (DeLuca) Calareso Sr. of Reading.  Catherine is survived by her brother Joseph Calareso Jr. of Reading and she joins her late siblings Lorraine Seeley, Charles Calareso, John Calareso and Anthony Calareso.  She  also joins her late husband Albert Nigro.  Family members include her loving grandchildren:Joseph M. Musgrave and his wife Stephanie, Michael S. Musgrave and his wife Theresa, Mark R. Musgrave and his wife Jamie, Tiffany C. Comeau and her husband Michael and the late Thomas C. Musgrave.  She is also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren Paige, Madison, Jared, Brianna, Katie, Christine,Derek, Connor, Krista, Ambyr, Mia and Lily.

As a young girl, Catherine savored her mother's dinners of Briggole and Stuffed Peppers and handed down her love of cooking to her grandchildren.  She liked to dine with friends, play Whist, crochet, knit, and she enjoyed watching television and listening to Frank Sinatra music.  Her love of travel brought her to Colorado and Florida with her late husband Albert.  Catherine had immense love for her family and delighted in attending school plays and concerts her great-grandchildren performed in..she also enjoyed laughing at Snapchat filters with them, drinking Dunkin's coffee and even trying her hand at archery.
