Charlene Lois Plati

Charlene Lois Plati, age 65, of Andover, passed away April 18, 2023, at Lawrence General Hospital following a bout with cancer.  She was the wife of James "Jay" Plati.  Born in Boston; she was the daughter of Melvin Weiner and the late Anita (Temple) Weiner.

Charlene was raised in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School.  She was a retired U.S. Post Office worker.

Charlene was an avid sports fan always routing for the Boston Teams, She enjoyed concerts and attending the theater, especially following her daughter's acting career.  Playing Bingo and gambling at the casinos was a favorite pastime.  Charlene appreciated being outdoors; camping, fishing and cruising the Carribean.

In addition to her husband Jay; Charlene is survived by her daughter, Courtney St. Gelais and her husband Tyler of Manchester, NH.  Charlene was the sister of Mark Weiner and his wife Jane of Stoughton and Jeff Weiner and his wife Leslie of Norton.  She leaves her sisters-in-law Rosemary Blanks and her husband Glyn of North Andover, Carol Olson and her husband Rick of Andover, AnnMarie Judge and her husband Bob of Billerica and Kathleen Plati of Peabody.  She was the aunt of Ashley Vollaro of North Andover, Christopher Olson of Boston and Nicholas Blanks of Somerville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Chapel at West Parish Cemetery, 210 Lowell St., Andover, MA, Tuesday, April 25th at 11:00 A.M.
