Charles E. Langille

July 17, 1928 — October 8, 2018

Charles E. Langille, age 90, a resident of Stoneham for nearly sixty  years, died peacefully at home, October 8, 2018.  He was the cherished husband of the late Helen L. (Arthur) Langille for 57 years before she died in 2010.  Born and raised in Malden, MA; he was the son of the late Moyle and Ina (Crowell) Langille

Charles, known to his friends and family as “Buck” was a graduate of Malden High School. One of his fondest memories of his youth was playing the drums in the high school band and jamming with his friends.

Mr. Langille was a tile setter and for many years operated his own tile setting business.

He was a happy man; he enjoyed his family; he had a great sense of humor.  His large family adored him and were grateful to have him as a husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle.  They will miss his colorful storytelling of “When I was a kid…”

He was the father of Donna Scheri and her husband Alan of Lynn and the late Charles “Chuck” Langille Jr., Laurie Langille and Tracy West. He was the father-in-law of Steven Long.  The proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren: Alanna Morcaldi, Shanon, Danny, David, Matthew and Anthony Scheri, Ashley, Amber & James Langille, Derek & Anthony West and Christopher Long.  He leaves 11 great grandchildren. Charles was the brother of Madge Forgeron, Duke Langille and the late Lily Grims, Clifford, Edward and Vilda Langille and the brother-in-law of George Arthur and his wife Louise.  He was “Uncle Buck” to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his dearest friends, Bill and Rose Steph.
