Daniel Francis Tumbarello

Daniel Francis Tumbarello, age 67, a resident of Stoneham for the past 33 years, died at his home October 22, 2023, after a 17month battle with glioblastoma cancer.  Born in Winchester, MA June 14, 1956, he was the son of Marlene (Horne) Tumbarello of Woburn and the late Francis "Sharkey" Tumbarello.

Dan grew up in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School, Class of “74”.

Dan enjoyed the great outdoors, and at a very young age developed a love of fishing that became his lifelong passion.

Dan was a warm and compassionate son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.  He was the loving husband of 33 years to Barbara (Mahoney) Tumbarello of Stoneham, the devoted father to Frank Tumbarello and his wife Julie of Tewksbury and Joshua Tumbarello of Stoneham.  He was the loving grandfather of J.J. and Keara Tumbarello and the oldest brother of Gary and Dana Tumbarello of Woburn.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Daniel’s life will be held Saturday, October 28th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Church, Stoneham.  Visitation at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Friday, October 27th, 5-8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dan’s memory to a charity of your choice.
