David W. Heffernan

David W. Heffernan, age 76, a lifelong resident of Stoneham, died May 26, 2019, at Winchester Hospital. He was the cherished husband of Marilyn (Wilson) Heffernan with whom he had shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Winchester, MA; David was the son of the late Thomas S. and Marian (Williams) Heffernan.
Dave graduated from Stoneham High School in the class of 1961. Throughout his career, he was employed in communications, having worked as a communications specialist for Verizon until his retirement.
Dave was a hard working family man. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and the many good times he shared with his family and friends.
David was the father of Kerry Rieumont and her husband Mark of Tampa, FL and Kathy Huggins and her husband Kris of Londonderry, NH; the grandfather of Madison and Max Rieumont of Tampa, FL, Katie and Michael Huggins of Londonderry, NH; the brother of Maryann Lorance and her husband Fred of E. Dennis and the late Thomas S. Heffernan Jr. He is survived by nieces, Melissa Martin of Coventry, RI, MaryKay Bernard of Riverside, CA and Kara Guida of Londonderry, NH.
Visitation will be at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Friday ,May 31st from 11:00 A.M. -1:00P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the M.S. Society, nationalmssociety.org .
