Demetre Evangelinellis

Demetre Evangelinellis, “Takis”, age 90, of Medford formerly of Somerville, December 15, 2018. He was the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Bessie (Toumbakis) Evangelinellis.  Born and raised in Greece, he was the son of the late Evangelos and Maria Evangelinellis

As a young man, he came to the States and settled in Somerville.  Takis became the owner/operator of Takis Shell in Central Square where he was in operation for over twenty years.  He was a devout parishioner of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church.

He was the devoted father of Stacy Arambages of Wakefield, Maria Evangelinellis and Leah Evangelinellis both of  Medford and the cherished grandfather of Evan Arambages of Wakefield.

His Funeral Service will be at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central St., Somerville, MA 02143, on Friday December 21 ^st at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation: Thursday, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham.  Those desiring, please consider a memorial gift to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Philoptochos Society.
