Donna Marie Mineo

Donna Marie Mineo passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, March 15th.  Donna leaves behind her soul mate and the love of her life Ralph Phillip Mineo of 57 years of marriage.  Her daughter Jill Marie, wife of Matt Hewitt.  Her son Philip Ralph, his wife Marybeth Mineo and their four children Jonathan Philip Church and his wife Mia and great grandson Frank Philip.  Billy Mineo, Stephen Mineo and Lily Mineo. She also leaves behind her sisters Mary Christine (Mimi) her husband Frank Martin, Diane and husband Anthony Zarella, her brother Ronnie Douglas, and sister-in-law Ruth Mineo, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Donna’s children and grandchildren were the loves of her life.  Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by them all cooking a meal and sharing laughs. The happiness of her family is what made her the most happy and proud. Donna was an avid gardener and took so much pride in growing vegetables and flowers in her garden. Her yard was as beautiful as one could imagine.

She and her husband Ralphie were inseparable during their 57 years of marriage.  No matter if it was a trip, a walk downtown or going out for lunch, they were never apart. They never wanted to be without each other.  If you were lucky enough to know Donna, you were just that…. Lucky.  Whether you saw Donna a month ago or just yesterday in the grocery store you were greeted with a big smile, a warm hug and a big “Hi Sweetheart!”.  You know when you saw Donna you left feeling important, loved and genuinely happy to be seen.

Donna was pure sunshine.  As we all struggle to come to grips without Donna in our lives, we take comfort in knowing that she is going to a place where she will be welcomed by her family and good friends waiting to greet her.  Fly high in the sky Mom, we miss you already, love you so very much and will see you when we get there.
