Elizabeth Cipriani

d. November 11, 2023

(Cataldo) Of Plymouth, Stoneham and Revere.  “Auntie Bettie” to all who knew and loved her, passed away on November 11, 2023 of natural causes, she was 100 years old. Elizabeth was the cherished wife of Agustus Cipriani. Born on February 13,1923, she was the daughter of Joseph and Carmella Cataldo. She survived most of her siblings including Anthony, Mary, Josephine, Gloria and Joseph. She leaves her sister Angie and many nieces and nephews. She remained especially close to her niece Julee (Tack) and her husband Rick O”Brien.

During her younger years, Elizabeth was a professional seamstress with her husband, and owned a business on Kneeland Street in Boston for many years. They sold to many department stores, and then custom designed for their own store called “Elizabeth’s”.

Elizabeth was a great lover of animals, especially dogs. She had several Dachunds during her lifetime and named them all Oscar, she had a wonderful sense of humor.

She celebrated her 100th birthday, hosted by her devoted niece, Joanne (Brown) Aprea. The party was catered by her favorite restaurant, Mama Mia’s. She had two cakes, beautiful flowers, balloons and many gifts.  Elizabeth had a wonderful time surrounded by many friends and family from near and far, and from different time periods and places in her life. Elizabeth, of course, wore a crown.

Elizabeth lived with her great-nephew, Jason Aprea, his wife Rachel and their children for many wonderful years. Their two children, Ryan and Caden spend the very early years of their lives with her, and considered her one of their grandmothers, which brought her much joy. Elizabeth also spent happy times with her great niece Jessica and her husband George Holt.
