longtime resident of Malden, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 after a 13 year battle with kidney disease. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Doucette. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Jeselonis) Mikols.
Elizabeth graduated from Medford High School . Over the years, she was employed at the New England Telephone Company, Intercity Homemakers and Johnnie's Foodmaster.
She was the cherished mother of Mark Doucette and wife Tori of Keene, NH, the late Karen Doucette of Malden, Kim Doucette and husband John of Manchester, NH and Melissa Doucette of Wilmington; the adoring grandmother to Meghan and Jackie Doucette of Keene, NH. She leaves her dear sisters Genevieve Frongillo of Wilmington, Barbara Mehos of Malden and the late Mary Mikols of Medford. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her good friend, the late Bob Burke.
She will be remembered for her positive outlook, her zest for life, her radiant smile and her knack for "Telling it like it is".
The family would like to thank the staff at DaVita Dialysis in Woburn for their many years of loving care and CareOne in Wilmington for their compassionate care over the past year.
Committal Service is private in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Gifts in memory of Elizabeth may be made to DaVita Dialysis, c/o Denise Kuhn, 23 Warren Ave., Woburn, MA 01801-7906.
There will be a Celebration of Elizabeth’s Life on Saturday, February 22nd from 12-4 at the Malden Moose. All are welcome to attend and join us in remembering an amazing woman and a true warrior.
