Gloria Carrozza Biancardi of East Boston, passed peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 93 on February 7, 2023. Gloria was born in Boston to Philip and Philomena Carrozza on June 11, 1929. She was the youngest of 7 children. She is predeceased by husband, Francis Giacamo Biancardi and 4 brothers, James, Frank, Georg and John, and sister Josephine D’Alto. Gloria is survived by a sister, Marianne Stringi of Ohio. Devoted mother of Elaine D’Agostino and Paul Francis Biancardi, and son-in-law Frank D’Agostino, and daughter-in-law Theresa Biancardi. “ GiGi “
was the proud grandmother of Paul and Theresa’s daughters, Katerina and Alyssa Biancardi. Gloria Jean was a strong, kind, and generous woman who lived a life filled with loving people. She loved raising her children, attending The Catholic Churches of East Boston and Revere.
She worked as a Sales Associate in Filene’s of Boston and The Logan Airport Hilton Gift Shop. During retirement she volunteered at the Rockport Women’s Lodge. She loved the outdoors and was an avid walker in downtown Boston and the Public Gardens for most of her life. She took pleasure attending music concerts, painting classes, visiting museums, and traveling world wide. Many summers were spent enjoying the warm sunny
beaches of Gloucester with her entire family. Gloria was loved and respected by all those that knew her. She will be dearly missed.
We are beyond grateful to those who helped care for her. To the loving caregivers of Hathorne Hill we extend our gratitude. The people who cared for her treated her as if she were family. Godspeed to them all.
