Joann Roberts Whitmore

JoAnn Roberts Whitmore, age 91, of Weston, MA died January 5, 2023. Devoted mother of Jane, Dan and Julie, and adoring grandmother of Vanessa, Ben and Rosa.  She is survived by many other loving nieces, nephews and family.

Born in Roberts, Illinois on May 10, 1931, to Ralph and Pearl Roberts.  JoAnn took great pride in her prairie roots.  A graduate of the University of Illinois, she also earned a Master's Degree from Boston University.  JoAnn was a devoted teacher for over 27 years in the Wellesley Public Schools and found special joy in teaching children to read.  She was loved and admired by all who knew her.

JoAnn was a faithful, longtime volunteer at A Place To Turn in Natick, MA.
