Joel L. Lima

Joel L. Lima of Billerica passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2023 at the age of 60. The loving father and grandfather of Jessica L. Lima and Savannah M. Lima. Son of the late Maria de Lurdes (Natalia) Lima and Jose DaRosa Lima. Beloved brother of Jose L. Lima and his wife Ana; George L. Lima and his wife Rosa; Serafin Lima and his wife Kristen; Teresa L. Lima and her boyfriend Jimmy Mandra. Uncle of the late Matthew Joseph Lima. Joel is also survived by his former wife and good friend Maria Barcelos, many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and other family members and good friends.

Joel immigrated to the United States from Faial Azores in 1969 with his parents and four siblings. He worked as a machinist for over forty years and took great pride in his work. He loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home on Thursday August 24th from 3PM-6PM. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty ST, Danvers, MA 01923
