June Carr quietly left this earth on Monday, November 8, 2021. She graduated from St. Chretienne’s Academy in South Salem and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Wes Jr. June enjoyed gardening, photography, painting, and had a zest for fashion. After raising her children, she became an awarded realtor for Dick Carlson in Marblehead.
June was a long-time member of the Boston Yacht Club and could often be found on her sailboat, the Stella Mare, and powerboat, the June C. She was well-known in Old Town for her friendly smile and ability to strike up conversations with the many visitors to Crocker Park, situated just outside her home.
June was the wife of Wesley E. Carr Jr, who passed away in June of 2021, and with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. They were true mates, their loyalty akin to swans, faithful and dedicated. She also leaves behind her son, Wesley E Carr III and his wife Carol Amore of Ipswich. June was the mother of the late Catherine D. Carr; the grandmother of Sarah Carr of Beverly, Natasha Cappadona and husband Philip of Charlestown and Felicia Carr of Ipswich, and great-grandmother of Arlo Sophia Cappadona of Charlestown. The family will have a celebration of life brunch at the Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead for anyone who would like to pay their respects to June and Wes.
