Cathy was a Stoneham High graduate of the class of 1970, and went on to Endicott College. While raising a family she graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Economics, followed by receiving her Master's degree in Business from Boston University.
Growing up having polio, Cathy overcame many challenges in her life which she would never allow to hold her back. Every day when she woke up she always smiled. Sometimes known as Chatty Cathy, she enjoyed talking to people and was always extremely sociable and friendly to everyone. Although you are not supposed to talk to strangers, Cathy always would. She especially loved her time spent with family, and friends. Her compassion for people was also shared with animals to include her dog Ziggy, and formerly breeding German Shepherds and showing her champion Airedale Terriers. She spent her free time gardening, sewing, knitting, going to the beach, playing board games, listening to music, going to concerts, camping, traveling, cooking, going to church, and always socializing. She was the life of every party whether it was a tea party with her Mom and Aunts or a backyard party with family, friends and neighbors.
She will always be missed but always remembered as being fun, full of life, having a beautiful smile, and of course “being cool”.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust.
