Laurie Lyn Douglass

Laurie Lyn Douglass, age 61, of Stoneham, formerly of Everett, died September 20, 2018, following a lengthy decline.  Born in Melrose, MA; she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Janet (Cairney) Douglass.  Laurie lived most of her life in Everett and had resided in Stoneham for the past four years.
She was a licensed practical nurse and had worked at the Soldier's Home in Chelsea and Malden Hospital. She had enjoyed many happy times boating out of the Winthrop Yacht Club.  She loved to dance and was a captive playing video games.
Laurie was the sister of Diane Douglass Leckel, Kirk Douglass and his wife Marianne, Frederick Roy Douglass and the late Scott Douglass and Alan Douglass.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Jeff Leckel and his wife Mari, Jennifer Cristoforo and her husband Derick, Scott Michael Douglass, Adrean Moreira, Joe Moreira, Peter Douglass, Stephanie Cecelia Ingoglia, Jason and Jessica Douglass, Christopher, Matthew and  Andrew Douglass. Laurie also leaves several grandnieces and grandnephews.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
A private memorial service is being planned.
