Leo J. Paquette, age 87, of Arlington, formerly of Somerville, passed away on January 15, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital from a lengthy illness. Born in 1933 in Waltham, MA, he was the son of Leo E. and Caroline Paquette.

Leo was a devoted son, husband, father and a good friend to many.  Leo leaves behind his dear wife of 66 years, Lillian Paquette and his children: Lorraine,(husband Pat), Leo R.(wife Elizabeth) and daughter LaChelle (husband Scott). He was the beloved brother of Edward, Rita and the late Carol.  In addition he leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren that loved him very much.

Even as a child Leo was an entrepreneur of many enterprises. He always enjoyed telling the story of raising chickens that all turned out to all be roosters! As an adult and business person he was very proud of his sales expertise and how it allowed him to provide well for his family.

Leo was a proud graduate of Stoneham High School, class of 1953. His business prowess was on display as he was listed as “Barbos top man” in his high school yearbook. After graduation, Leo worked as a driver salesman for Happy Home Bakery and then for Table Talk Pies for many years. After Table Talk he worked for Drake's Bakery until
he retired in 1997. As a truck driver he was a proud member of the teamsters union.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, followed by a Christian Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. Please follow Massachusetts social distance guidelines at all times to help fight Covid19. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a
donation to the SMD-HELP Foundation Inc. (SMD-HELP.org), Masonic Hospital Equipment Loan Program, they helped Leo numerous times.
