Marcia J. Phinney

Marcia J. Phinney, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away August 31, 2018, at the age of 75.  Born in Milford, MA; she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Ruth (Ayscough) Phinney.

Marcia graduated from Wakefield High School in 1961 and Northeastern University with a BA degree.  She worked for many years at American Mutual in their Claims Department.

On vacations and at every opportunity, she looked forward to spending time at her cottage in Maine.  She also enjoyed travelling; among her favorite countries having visited were Australia, Denmark and Italy.  Marcia was an adept craftsperson and of late, she especially enjoyed “themed” quilting.

She leaves her loving family, including her brother-in-law, Leonard F. Hunzelman Jr.; two nephews, David C. Hunzelman and Stephen T. Hunzelman of Wakefield, and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to honor the life of Marcia Phinney, on September 22, 2018, at 11 A.M. at the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield.  A collation will be held at the church immediately following the service.
