Mario Henry Tyrell

Mario Henry Tyrell of Somervile, formerly of Stoneham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones early on the morning of May 8th, 2022.

Mario was born in Boston, Massachusetts. January 23, 1932. He attended English High School, then joined the Marines and became a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a bartender in Boston and Cambridge, Ma. for many years. Then went on to work at WGBH, where he eventually retired from.

Mario is preceded in death by his wife Janet McDougall Tyrell, his parents Henry and Margaret Tyrell, and his brother Rodney "Bunny" Tyrell. He is survived by his children Keith and Renee Tyrell of California, and Ramona and Christian of Massachusetts. and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he adored.
