Maxine Graham Schultz,  "Mimi", of Biddeford Pool, Maine, formerly of Stoneham passed away November 7, 2020, at the age of 96.  She was the wife of the late Edward James Schultz.

Born in Burlington, MA; she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel (Mowbrey) Graham.

Maxine trained at Melrose Wakefield Hospital to become a Registered Nurse, specializing in OBGYN and Surgery. She practiced for over twenty years at Danvers State, Melrose Wakefield and Winchester Hospitals. While Nursing and parenting, Maxine enrolled at Northeastern University and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science and English Degree.  For many years, she was the Reference Librarian at the Stoneham Public Library.    She held book reviews  and  interviews with local notable citizens for Stoneham TV channel 3.  Maxine was instrumental in the creation of the Stoneham Oral History Project for which she held interviews with veterans of WWI, members of the Stoneham Historical Society, health workers at the New England Sanitarium and Hospital, Stoneham's Fred Lawson District Governor of Rotary and the lost community of Haywoodville, among the many topics she explored and undertook to immortalize.    She was a longtime active member on the Board of Trustees at the Fuller House.

Maxine was the cherished mother of Paula Jeanne Schultz-Pothier and husband John of Londonderry, NH and Pam Schultz-Manoff and husband Paul of Biddeford Pool, ME.  Grandmother of Amy Spinelli and husband Don of Florida, Lauren Nagle and fiance Tyler "Frank" Field  of Biddeford, ME and Andrew Graham Nagle and girlfriend Ariel Collins of Madawaska, ME; great grandmother of  Benjamin Graham Nagle of Biddeford, ME.  A private service will be held at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham on Thursday, followed by burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.  Those desiring may make a memorial gift to the Friends of the Stoneham Public Library.
