Michael O'Neill

Michael O'Neill Jr. 1942-2021

Michael passed away February 19, 2021, at home after enduring many health issues.  He was the son of Irish immigrant parents Michael and Johanna (Coleman) O'Neill of County Cork, Ireland.

Michael was born in Peabody where he lived most of his life; attended Peabody Schools and was employed by the Peabody Water Department until his retirement. More importantly, he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended meetings at the Peabody Kingdom Hall where he served as an Elder for many decades. Recently, when asked by one of his nurses what made him happy, he replied, "The one thing that makes me truly happy, is sharing encouragement from the Scriptures regarding a beautiful future for all under God's Kingdom."

Michael is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene (Ronan) O'Neill; three daughters; a son and six grandchildren: Shivon DiSalvo (husband Sal)and their children Jacob and Aiden, Kathryn Magliaro (husband Peter) and their children, Lydia and Gavin (wife Kayla), Karin Sangster (husband Darrin) and their children Makenna and Logan and Brian O'Neill (wife Megumi). Also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Bill Ronan(wife Linda), sister-in-law Bonnie O'Neill, as well as many nieces and nephews and two granddogs, Maddy and Red.  He was pre-deceased by his three brothers, Jack, Daniel and Joseph O'Neill.
