Nancy Charlotte Black

Nancy Charlotte Black, a lifelong resident of Woburn, MA, died peacefully following a brief illness on August 14, 2022, at the age of 98.  She was the wife of the late Leighton Foster Black.

Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Edward Sylvester and Clara Maria (Lawson) Beattie.

Nancy was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1942.  For many years she was employed as a Certified Nurses' Assistant at Woburn and Winchester Nursing Centers.

Nancy most enjoyed being with her family and caring for her pets.

She was the beloved mother of Lee Black and his wife Carolyn, Fred Black and James Black and his late wife Maria all of Woburn.  She leaves three grandchildren, Christopher Black of Chicago, Lauren Zuccaro and her husband Matt of Lynnfield and Allison Black of Woburn and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Lillian Zuccaro.

There are no services planned. As a tribute to Nancy and her love for animals, her family would be pleased if those who wish to honor her make a donation to the Massachusetts Society for the Provention of Cruelty to Animals, the M.S.P.C.A.
