Pietro Lorenzetti

Pietro “Pete” Lorenzetti passed away at the age of 62 on March 23, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with esophageal cancer.  Pete was born October 25, 1960 to Italian immigrants, Ezio and Michelina G. (Prosperi) Lorenzetti in Medford, MA.  He graduated from the electrical program at the Medford Vocational Technical High School in 1979.  He worked for 35 years before retiring in 2022 as the electrician for the U.S. Coast Guard Base Boston.  Unfortunately, he was unable to enjoy his retirement after being diagnosed shortly after with cancer.  Pete was a lover of Cadillac cars, casinos, and Italian cooking.  He collected many antique Cadillacs and accessories.  He married Susan (Mann) Lorenzetti on July 2, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and frequented Foxwoods and more recently, Encore casinos where his favorite place to play was on the craps table.  His love of cooking began at the age of 9 when he started working for his family catering company; Ezio Caterers.  In 2002, he began his own restaurant in Reading, MA named Casa Cucina.  He continued to cook for his family and made the best spaghetti and meatballs.

Pete leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Susan; mother Michelina Lorenzetti; two daughters, Julia Hanley (husband, Bryan) and Sophia Lorenzetti; son, Michael Lorenzetti; and 2 granddaughters, Lyla Hanley and Robbie Hanley.  He also leaves his three sisters, Ada DiMarino of Stoneham, Luciana Scimemi of Reading and Tina Lorenzetti-Dunn of Dracut, and many nieces and nephews.  Peter was predeceased by his father Ezio Lorenzetti.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common Street, Stoneham.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.  A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick Parish, Stoneham, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
