Richard P. Messina

Richard P. Messina of Lynn, formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly on January 24, 2023.  He was 68.

Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Messina.  Richard was a Somerville High School graduate before starting his career with the Polaroid Corporation and eventually making his way to Avid Technologies.

Richard was the father of Christina Messina, Steven Messina and his wife Jessica and Jenna Thomas and her husband Nick.  Also survived by his granddaughter Charlotte Messina, his brother Kenneth Messina and niece Jessica Messina.

Richard spent his days accompanying his children to their sporting events and marching band competitions and boating on Sebago Lake, ME, all while capturing it on his camera.  He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham on Saturday, January 28th from 3:00-6:00 PM.
