Robert Christopher Dysard, 70, of Woburn, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on August 3rd, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 7th, 1952 to the late Walter and Connie Dysard. Bob was a graduate of John Jay Senior High School in Hopewell Junction, NY with the Class of 1970. He went on to work for many years in healthcare as an LPN at Highland Hospital in Beacon NY, Butterfield Memorial Hospital in Cold Spring NY, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He very much enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He was very proud of his daughters, loved helping them with anything and everything, and talked about them with everyone he came across. He loved getting his daily vanilla malt milkshakes, Saturday morning breakfasts, trips to the playground with his grandchildren, Dave and Busters, and listening to his granddaughter Sophia sing. Bob was a classic music enthusiast and enjoyed telling stories of his family history. He was a fixture at his grandson’s baseball games and was Stoneham’s number 1 baseball fan.
Bob leaves behind his daughters, Christine, wife to Carlo Carpentieri of Stoneham, MA, and Kathleen, wife to Joe DeSimone of Orange, MA; six grandchildren, Sophia, Giuseppe, and Antonio Carpentieri, Madison, Kendall, and Ella DeSimone; two siblings, Barbara, wife of Alexander Caruso of Newbury, MA, and Maryann Iverson of Beacon, NY. Bob held his extended family and in-laws close to his heart; nieces Dominique Murphy, Stephanie Gulsoy, Alessandra Caruso, Melissa Franics, Jessica Francis, and Heather Francis, nephews Steven Iverson and Alec Iverson, sisters-in-law Marion Oliver, Mary Hopper, brothers-in-law Reuben Oliver, Scott Oliver and Richard Francis, husband of Laura, and all of their families. He also enjoyed the company of many other extended family members; Giuseppe and Antonietta Carpentieri, Dino and Phyllis Carpentieri and their daughters Giuliana and Alessandra, and Alex and Traci Cornelison and their children Lexi and Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Irish twin sister Geraldine Francis, his mother-in-law Geraldine Oliver, the mother of his children Susan Cornelison, sister-in-law Diane Guarino, and a dear friend Susie Saba.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, August 5th 2023 at Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St, Stoneham, MA. Funeral procession will be a private event.
