Robert Gaona

Robert Gaona, age 67, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, formerly of Malden passed away April 12, 2022, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's.  He was the husband of Kathleen Plati.  Born and raised in New York; he was the son of the late Calixto and Maria (Novo) Gaona.

Robert received his Bachelor's from NYU, his Master's from Columbia University and CAGS from Boston University.  He was a retired Mental  Health Therapist.

In addition to his wife Kathy, Bob is survived by his daughter, Lia Gaona of Melrose; his son Daniel Gaona and  his wife Kim and grandchildren, Adrianna and Leo Alexander of Norfolk, Virginia.  He was the brother of Guy Gaona, Daniel Gaona and Vivian Gaona all of New York.  He leaves numerous nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and  brothers-in-law.

Funeral from the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Tuesday, April 19th at 8:00 A.M., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church,  71 Central St., Stoneham at 9:00 A.M.  Interment in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham  with Military Honors.  Visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday, 4:00-7:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial  donation may be made to the S.P.C.A. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
