Robert “Bo” Alan Shaw, age 61, of Saugus, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Robert is survived by his wife Dawn, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage, as well as his daughters; Katie Shaw and her significant other, David Kerley II of Yorktown VA and Kara Shaw and her fiancé Angelo Castillo of Lawrence MA. Robert is also survived by his sister Susan Lecouras and her husband Harry “T” of Salem MA; brother, Raymond and wife Phyllis of Bushnell, FL; his brother Steven and his wife Leanne of Tamworth NH; his brother Scott and his wife Lisa of Saugus, MA; his brother Michael and his wife Nicole of Saugus, MA. Robert is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and his beloved cat Feona. Robert is predeceased in death by his father, Raymond Parker Shaw and his mother, Joan Marie Shaw.
Robert was born on January 26, 1960, in Melrose, MA to Raymond Parker Shaw and Joan Marie Shaw of Saugus, MA. He graduated from Saugus High School Class of 1978. He went on to pursue an Oil Burner Certificate and worked as oil burner technician before working at his family business as an Operations Manager for more than 20 years.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. In his earlier years, Robert enjoyed coaching his daughters in soccer, camping with his family, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, deep sea fishing, working in his garage and fixing cars. He had a love for music, reading books, and reminiscing about “the good old days.” Robert fiercely loved his wife and daughters and his greatest joy of all was spending quality time with them. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common Street Stoneham, MA on Thursday, January 6th, 2022, from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church 14 Summer Street, Saugus, MA on Friday, January 7th, 2022, at 10:30am. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA.
