Ursula Margaret Ryan

Ursula Margaret Ryan, 80, former resident of Stoneham and Arlington MA passed away on April 23, 2022.

Ursula was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1942. She graduated from Stuttgart American High School, and in 1962 moved to the United States with her parents, Margaret Schmerer Galera and Charles Galera, where her father was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. In 1963 Ursula moved to Boston.

She married the late William P. Ryan at Holy Trinity Church in Boston on June 10, 1967.

She retired after more than 30 years working in the housekeeping department at Winchester Hospital.

Fluent in both English and German, Ursula had a fun-loving spirit and in her leisure time enjoyed singing in the choir, travelling, spending time at the beach, socializing with friends and reading.

Ursula is survived by her sister, Linda Galera of Columbus, GA, and her daughter, Maureen Ryan of Manchester, NH.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 30th at 11 am at St Catherine of Siena Parish, 207 Hemlock St. Manchester, NH. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington IA, at a later date.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Mystic Valley Elder Services
