Wayne F. Turner

Wayne F. Turner of Wakefield formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, Friday July 19th, with his family by his side, at the age of 75.

Wayne was born in Winchester, MA, the son to late parents John F. And Eileen K. (Coleman) Turner.

Wayne was a graduate of Woburn Memorial High School Class of 1962 and remained a resident of Woburn for most of his life. After graduating high school, he worked at Middlesex Paving and more recently Standard Electric, prior to retirement. He was an avid beachgoer, enjoying the sun and the sand.  On any given summer day, he could be found reading the newspaper at Nahant Beach.  However, his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren on Sundays.

Proud father of John M. Turner and wife Carolyn and David A. Turner and wife Maureen all of Woburn.

Devoted Grandpa of Cpl. Jack Turner, Emma, Ben, Kate and Will Turner. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Turner.

At the family’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to Friends of Woburn Veterans, 144 School Street, Woburn, MA 01801
